I am not a filter or mask scientist. I don’t make any claims. You need to research for yourself.

Pre wash, dry, and iron your cotton fabrics, as they do shrink.

Correction: at 5:20 Every seam will be *glued* back over…
Also, excuse my sniffing! I have horrible allergies, and therefore do not normally record this time of year at all. It was very difficult for my to do the voice over work on this, and it took many takes.

At the time of this writing, the CDC recommends 2 layers of tightly woven cotton for face mask material. If you would like to research filter fabric or see the fabric that I used in this video see this link: https://filti.com/product/filti-face-mask-material/ I am not affiliated with them or officially recommend them. I just personally really liked their product. As of this writing, they are using a UPS plug in calculator for their shipping. The prices are high and somewhat wonky as UPS is going through a high-demand season like they have never seen before. Logistics are under tremendous pressure right now. Filti is trying to diversify their shipping relationships as soon as they can, but it is a very difficult time to do that with a high-volume company such as theirs. They sell the filter fabric while supplies last and the shipping is out of their control.

I’ve pulled my previous mask video because people are again claiming they contained fiberglass. I called the manufacturer of the filters and they affirmed that they do not. I also confirmed this with a Hvac professional and a scientist whose career focus is filters. The previous video stated over and over to do your own research. I claimed nothing. I clearly even said that the manufacturer does not recommend their product to be used for mask fabric. The CDC says last resort should be 2 layers of tightly woven cotton. I still say the same thing with this video. The CDC does not recommend masks at all… until they do. ??? You have to research and do what you are comfortable with for your health’s sake.
